Webb County – Laredo Non-Emergency 311 Call Center

“One call does it all"

In 1997, the Federal Communications Commission reserved the 3-1-1 telephone number for the public to reach non-emergency police and other government services. The first service began in Baltimore, and is now in more than 30 major cities and counties throughout the country. Webb County will become the first County in Texas to provide 3-1-1 service. 311 Speakers

On November 22, 2005, Webb County Commissioners Court approved the use of 3-1-1 for access to county non-emergency services. With the advent of 3-1-1 telephone service, the county can transform the way it interacts and communicates with its citizens by offering a three digit telephone number for access to information.

On October 22, 2007, the Commissioner’s Court approved an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Laredo for the creation of a Non-Emergency 311 Call Center servicing Webb County and City of Laredo areas. The call center will provide an easy to remember number for access to valuable city and county resources, information, and services.
