Highlights:
January 16 and 17 = Classes for children canceled due to hazardous weather conditions. I communicated with Judge Valdez on January 15 th regarding this decision.
January 10 12 = Seven staff members and I attended a meeting in Dallas on Head Start Program Review Instrument Systems Monitoring (PRISM) in preparation for the Federal On-site Review.
January 13 = Father Involvement activity at Little Palominos Head Start Center from 9:00 11:00.
January 20 = Father Involvement Committee will participate in the Menudo Bowl.
January 23 = Met with Commissioner Garza for a Governance Training update
January 24 = Met with Judge Danny Valdez and Commissioner Rosaura Tijerina for a Governance Training.
January 25 = Commissioner Sergio Martinez will send a representative from his office to attend the Governance Training.
January 26 = Family Day from 9:30 11:00 a.m. at all centers. All parents and relatives are welcome.
January 31 = The Parent Executive meeting will be held at 9:30 at Little Palominos Head Start Center ( West End Washington Street ).
February = Healthy Relationships Conference to be scheduled early February (tentatively February 10 th ).
February = Parents will visit a City of Laredo Council meeting.
Carolyn Dayish, T&TA Specialist, will visit the program in late February or early March to discuss progress on the 2006 2007 Training and Technical Assistance plan.
The Fall Progress and Outcomes report was sent to you in December. I will call your office to schedule an appointment to discuss this report with each of you on an individual basis.
